Six Girls Intercepted, Four Suspects Arrested
Girl Set Free partners worked with police to rescue six girls from a brothel and arrest four suspects.
Our partners received information from a trusted informant about a certain guesthouse near our monitoring station that was being used as a brothel, hosting five minors. An investigator made contact with one of the girls and befriended her. Through this relationship, it was discovered that several girls frequently rent rooms in the guesthouse for prostitution and use a portion of their earnings to pay the owner for the rentals. The owner also appears to have employed three people: two boys who provide security and protect the girls and a woman who works as a receptionist.
Our partners collaborated with the police to carry out an operation to extract the girls. Six victims were rescued, three of whom were minors, and four suspects were arrested, including the owner of the brothel. The suspects were released on bail the following day, and a case will be filed as soon as the girls give their official statements to the police.
